5.5.3 CU01.02 — Basic cue sheet Record

This is the Record used to communicate data about creations used in resources that are part of an audio-visual release, in the form of cue sheets and is contained in a DSR message created in accordance with the Audio-visual Profile. These creations are referred to as “contained creations” below and may be videos (i.e. when a video contains another video), sound recordings (i.e. when a video embodies a sound recording) or musical work (when a video embodies a musical work). If such a creation is a video or a sound recording embodying a musical work, the licensee shall not provide a cue for the musical work in addition to the cue for the video or the sound recording.

An ISRC comprises four parts: two characters, followed by three alphanumeric characters, then two digits and five digits.

A value in the ReferencedCreationISRCCell is mandatory if available to the licensee. This field is important for licensors for their processing and would ideally be mandatory in this part of the DSR standard. However, as there are rare cases where licensees genuinely do not have this data, the Cell is conditional.

The International Standard Musical Work Code (ISWC) as defined in ISO 15707 identifying the musical work which is contained in the referenced resource.
