5.4.3 AS03.03 — Audio-visual resource Record

This is the Record used to communicate data about audio-visual Resources that were sold or used individually or as part of a release where data about the underlying (non-musical) work is not available to the licensee and is contained in a DSR message created in accordance with the Audio-visual Profile.

This does not include music videos the reporting of which is addressed elsewhere in this part of the DSR standard.

ResourceISAN

The International Standard Audiovisual Number (ISAN) as defined in ISO 15706 identifying the audiovisual work that makes up the resource.

An ISAN comprises four blocks of four hexadecimal characters followed by a check character followed, optionally by two further blocks of four hexadecimal characters, followed by a further check character.

A value for the ResourceISAN Cell is mandatory if available to the licensee. This field is important for licensors for their processing and would ideally be mandatory in this part of the DSR standard. However, as there are rare cases where licensees genuinely do not have this data, the Cell is conditional.

ResourceEIDR

An identifier of the audiovisual work assigned to it by the Entertainment Identifier Registry Association (EIDR) identifying the audiovisual work that makes up the resource.

An EIDR comprises of a prefix, “10.5240”, followed by a slash, sixteen hexadecimal digits and an ISO 7064 Mod 37,36 check character.

A value in the ResourceEIDR Cell is mandatory if available to the licensee. This field is important for licensors for their processing and would ideally be mandatory in this part of the DSR Standard. However, as there are rare cases where licensees genuinely do not have this data, the Cell is conditional.
